Budgie’s design system is free software. You can use, study, share and change it under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or (at your option) any later version. Its source is the m3 folder of Budgie’s public repository, and the same files are served unminified by this site. It comes with no warranty. The rest of Budgie is kept separate from it and isn’t covered by that license.
Budgie’s own code, text and design are Copyright (C) 2026 teofilcelzmecher, all rights reserved: you can read them, but not copy or reuse them without permission. Found a security problem? Please report it privately (see SECURITY.md).
Material Design is a design system by Google. Budgie isn’t made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Google, Swiftify or end-4.
